More Than a School — A Journey of Rehabilitation, Inclusion & Hope
Ummeed – The Hope Free Special School is a community-based special education and rehabilitation initiative established under Ummeed Foundation, with the vision of ensuring that every child with special needs receives the care, therapy, education, and dignity they deserve.
What makes Ummeed different is its holistic and rehabilitation-first approach. For us, every child's journey begins with understanding their individual abilities, developmental needs, communication challenges, and behavioural requirements before introducing them to structured education.
The school was created not just as an educational institution, but as a safe and inclusive ecosystem where children with disabilities can receive therapy, emotional support, rehabilitation, skill development, and education under one roof.
Over the years, Ummeed has become a support system for hundreds of families by combining:
- Rehabilitation Services
- Individualized Education
- Therapy Intervention
- Psychological Assessment
- Parent Support
- Vocational Development
- Accessibility & Medical Aid Support
Today, the school continues to empower children with special needs towards greater independence, confidence, inclusion, and quality of life.
